Workplace safety enhanced
December 1st 2003 In addition to reducing time and effort associated with cleaning and maintenance tasks, a new Wave work assist vehicle from Crown is providing a safer workplace for staff at the Moreton bakery of Manor Bakeries.
As a result of purchasing the Wave, operatives no longer have to climb up and down steps or manually move them from one location to another. They also now have the ability to move to the next required location at creep speed, without even having to lower the raised work platform back to ground level to carry out the manoeuvre.
In the raised position, travel speed is reduced to 3.2km/hr. Once lowered back to ground level, the Wave, which has a turning radius of just 1205mm, can travel at 6.5km/hr. More articles from Crown Lift Trucks Ltd: |
