Three tonne reels moved with ease
October 1st 2004

Fine paper producer, M-real, has purchased two Nu-Star Reel Pushers for its Kent Paper Mill.

The machines are used to move 1.3m diameter paper reels, weighing up to three tonnes.

M-Real trialled a demonstration unit after staff commented on the effort required to push the reels by hand – they sometimes needed to use a long lever to help get the reels moving.

The Reel Pusher is pedestrian operated and completely self contained with no trailing air or power lines. An onboard charger enables opportunity charging.
