Breakages are at an all-time low October 1st 2005 Easypack
manufactures systems that offer viable solutions for protective transit packaging and cost-effective space-fill, which can, says the company, completely revamp packing lines.
In one example catering equipment supplier, Neville UK, reports breakages to be at an all time low. The company ships 5500+ boxes each month, containing many fragile goods.
Warehouse manager Dean Stokes comments: "Using Easypack’s systems has vastly improved our supply chain and saved us money. We now have continuous, cheap void fill that performs better than any other cushion packaging we’ve used in the past."
Sourcing products worldwide meant stacks of used boxes were wasting warehouse space as well as costing time and money for disposal. The company was also keen to reduce returns due to packaging failure.
The Easypack solution uses a combination of its heavy-duty three-phase shredder to recycle the card into a versatile cushion mat, and the Spiral paperdispenser to add protective wrap. As well as benefiting from substantial costsavings, Neville reports that the packing performance is up on all counts.
Stokes adds: "All the packers comment on how easy the systems are to use, proving a huge plus now we offer next-day delivery." More articles from Easypack Limited: |
