New garment hanging warehouse

Pre-retail and garment logistics service provider, DTS logistics - part of Clipper logistics Group - has opened a new warehouse in Nottinghamshire to provide highstreet retailer Woolworths with the space to fulfil its expansion plants.

The new warehouse and transport operation is run from the 350,000ft2 multiuser site and houses Woolworths' children's fashion range, along with stock from a number of other DTS contracts.

The three floor facility is garment racked throughout and has full quality control and order picking on site, which has been implemented using a Promec sorter from SDI Greenstone.

"We chose DTS Logistics because of their flexible approach to the whole logistics, supply chain and pre-retail process and we knew that they would be best placed to support us in our business expansion," said Tim Owrid, director of supply chain, Woolworths.
