Loading bay equipment for NDC

Easilift Loading Systems has supplied loading bay equipment for a purposedesigned national distribution centre opened at Trident Business Park, Huddersfield by the Instore retail chain, in a contract valued at £160,000.

The building has a 350,000ft2 warehouse fitted with 27 loading bays.

Each loading bay has an Easilift electrically operated insulated sectional overhead door, with safety edge devices at the bottom and a tough Plasticol finish to the external face.

To seal the gap between building and vehicle and protect employees and goods from extremes of temperature and draughts, each bay has a sturdy 3500mm wide x 4100mm high collapsible frame dock shelter. It features a secondary pull down head curtain to accommodate both double deck and conventional vehicles.

Also supplied were Easilift model 232 electro hydraulic swing lip type Poweramp dock levellers, measuring 2100mm wide x 2500mm long, with a 6000kg capacity, that provide a safe and efficient bridge between loading dock and vehicle.

Claimed to be the most popular in Europe, they are available with either a hinged or extending lip, in a wide choice of sizes or capabilities.

Accessories provided include external LED traffic lights, internal angle poise dock lights, plus integrated control panels complete with mimic repeater traffic lights.

The control panel is designed to operate the dock leveller, loading bay door, traffic light and dock light system.
