Vehicle tracking improves service October 1st 2005 Cannon Consumables has updated its vehicle tracking system in a move to improve productivity, customer service and employee satisfaction.
To aid drivers and customers, Consumables recently installed its new internet-based vehicle tracking system, designed and manufactured by Quartix. Backed up by the Orange network, the system provides real-time information accessible online, and a full log of vehicle activity is delivered by email every morning.
Because it is internet-based there is no special software to install and data is supplied in either HTML or Microsoft Excel format.
Cannon also sees the commercial benefits of using Quartix’s system as a key part in its future pricing strategy - the system will plan out routes, mileage and fuel usage, helping to mitigate the rising fuel prices and ensuring costs remain competitive.
Oliver Weisflog, managing director of Cannon, said: "Quartix’s tracking system already delivers tangible commercial benefit for nearly 600 UK businesses and has worked very well for us, enabling Consumables to identify where there are problems on a particular customer site and to see where a driver may not be able to take sufficient breaks." |
