Cat Lift Trucks inks UK distributor deal with Impact Handling

Impact Handling has been appointed as an official exclusive Cat Lift Trucks dealer for the UK market.

Peter Hessels, vice president of marketing at Cat Lift Trucks said: “Impact Handling has really impressed us with its focus on customer support, particularly in the way that they provide total material handling solutions, which is completely in line with our philosophy.”

Impact Handling is one of the largest independent materials handling groups in the UK. It has 9 sales and service centres and over 120 mobile service engineers.

Impact has a significant rental fleet and offers a total package of services to its growing customer base which exceeds 6000 trucks in operation.

Terry Kendrew, managing director of Impact Handling added: “Cat Lift Trucks is recognised as a key player in the UK Materials Handling Market with an extensive user base.

"It is the Impact objective to add value to the Cat brand and extend our successful formula of presenting quality equipment matched with local sales and service support to the collective Impact customer base and Cat lift truck users.”

Cat Lift Trucks were previously distributed by Briggs Equipment in the UK, an agreement which ended this summer as Briggs switched to Yale.

Impact Handling has previously been distributor for Nissan Forklifts.
