Samuk in IMHX dealer drive January 1st 2011 Samuk, which sources lift trucks manufactured by Hangcha in China, led a major dealer recruitment drive at the recent IMHX show in Birmingham.
Sir Neville Bowman-Shaw, chairman of Samuk Lift Trucks said he wanted dealers that would collectively give the company national spread and most importantly provide a personal touch to customers.
“The best thing about the show was the quantity and quality of potential dealers that visited our stand. Many of these were from larger, established companies that operate multiple outlets and we’ve already signed up ten to 15 of them,” he said.
Samuk has divided Great Britain by three zones, each with a dealer manager. They will manage sales and check service. Samuk aims to populate each zone with 1 dealer selling 100 trucks a year, 2 dealers selling around 50 trucks, 4 25 trucks and 12 around 10 trucks a year.
On the equipment on show, Sir Neville added: “Visitors were impressed by the trucks’ European powertrain including the UKbuilt Cummins diesel engine, ZF transmission and Kessler drive axles.” More articles from Handling & Storage Solutions: |
