RFID demo labs open for business trials August 24th 2005 Manhattan Associates has opened five RFID demo labs across its key European markets in a bid to show companies exactly what the technology can bring to business processes. The facilities are located in France, Germany, Holland and the UK.
Located in Bracknell, the UK lab will enable British firms to learn about the latest RFID developments and demonstrate how to deploy the technology and benefit from it. Suppliers will learn how to meet RFID-compliance mandates including those issued by Metro, Tesco, Wal-Mart and others. Live demonstrations will show how to deploy RFID tags and smart labels in conjunction with a WMS to enable information on pallets, cases and other items to be automatically captured, automating operations such as loading or receiving and illustrating how RFID enables enhanced supply chain visibility and security.
