Avery Weigh-Tronix says its latest onboard forklift scales will increase logistics firms’ profitability by thousands of pounds per month by quickly validating the weight of a customer’s load.

Typically a customer estimates the weight of goods to be carried out and is charged accordingly. If an operator chooses to check this weight, the truck must visit a floor scale, unload and then weight the pallet before lifting it again. This operation is too inefficient and therefore rarely carried out.

Avery Weigh-Tronix’s system effectively transforms lift trucks into mobile scales that deliver trade approved weight verification of each pallet as it is picked up – so an organisation can now lift, weigh, move and invoice loads within its existing process.
