Smarter working seminars August 24th 2005 Software specialist Proteus and hardware partner Belgravium are hosting a series of 'smarter working seminars' beginning later this year (dates TBC), marking the official launch of its 'Smart Alert' software.
Proteus MD Howard Turvey says the industry needs WMS that provide useful information. "What people want to know is not the 95% that is OK but the 5% that isn't, he says. To this end, Turvey claims Proteus is making its WMS "increasingly proactive" in terms of telling clients what is happening in their warehouse: "Bringing 'exception' information to management as it occurs," he explains. Turvey claims this is precisely Smart Alert's function.
The seminars, which include lunch and offer an opportunity to network, are free of charge. Held at the RAF Cosford Museum, delegates will also have the chance to have a go on a flight simulator – always a good test of alertness.
