STILL launches new counterbalance and pallet trucks
August 24th 2005

STILL has launched the RX 20 counterbalance truck and EXU pallet truck ranges. Unveiled this summer in Hamburg, the big brother to the RX 50 is the industry's first series of forklifts with capacities starting as low as 1.5 tonnes to offer lateral battery change, according to STILL. As a hoist is no longer required, battery changing is simpler, faster and safer.

Modular in design the truck can be configured to suit specific applications. Two chassis heights and overhead guard sizes mean it can work in limited height areas (below 2m) – without compromising operator comfort, says STILL. Other features include regenerative braking, a choice of five drive programmes, wear free components and simplified diagnostics.

The EXU pallet trucks are available in 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 tonne capacities, alongside the 2.0 tonne capacity order picking version, the EXU-H, which STILL bills as a 'workhorse for trade and supermarkets'. Also modular in construction, there are three different battery options, 18 fork configurations which can be selected individually at the point of order. Combined with three overall widths and six lengths it can also be supplied with a hinged driver's stand-on platform – making it a truly tailor made truck, according to STILL.
