A completely separate, temperature controlled environment has been created at Danzas AEI Intercontinental Flexible partitioning expertise August 22nd 2006 Galebreaker Industrial has 25 years experience in designing and manufacturing high quality partitioning screens and doors. "Flexipart", the company's innovative sealed partition system has many applications – containing dust and fumes, minimising heat and energy loss, and even reducing noise by up to 30db – it can also simply be used to segregate areas of a building for specific tasks. Made from woven polyester with a PVC coated finish, the material is strong and durable but has translucent texture that lets 45% of natural light through.
The flexibility of the material means it can be used to construct either permanent or temporary partitioning solutions, offering an economical alternative to to more conventional materials such as steel and wood. Galebreaker can build in a range of features to suit the individual application, such as rapid rise doors, PVC strip access, maintenance panels, or just a simple vision window.
One company to benefit from Galebreaker's partitioning expertise is Danzas AEI Intercontinental. One third of the company's UK Airfreight Hub in Hayes, Middlesex, has been given over to create a dedicated standalone pharmaceutical unit. Galebreaker supplied and installed partitioning and access systems to create a completely separate, temperature controlled environment for pharmaceutical product storage.
Five rapid rise doors give access and egress to the area. The automatic and fast operation of the doors allows rapid traffic flow through them while helping to maintain the temperature within the area. Pedestrian doors have a swipe card access system and all doors can be immobilised for added security. Galebreaker also fitted 2.5m high steel partitioning along the base of the structure.
Galebreaker successfully designed, constructed, installed and commissioned the whole system within an eight week timescale.
