Narrow Aisle is experiencing unprecedented levels of demand for its Flexi articulated trucks Key appointment at Narrow Aisle August 22nd 2006 Narrow Aisle, manufacturer of the Flexi range of articulated forklift trucks, has announced the appointment of Mark Thornes as its new production manager at its UK factory.
The appointment comes at a time when Narrow Aisle is experiencing unprecedented levels of demand for its Flexi articulated trucks. In recent weeks the company has picked up orders from, among other places, Azerbaijan, Romania, Slovenia and Greece, while in the UK, sales are at an all-time high as more and more businesses realise the advantages that articulated trucks offer over traditional reach trucks and guided VNA machines.
Mark Thornes commented: “Generally speaking, British manufacturing success stories are all too rare these days and, in the forklift truck industry, they are almost unheard of, so I am absolutely delighted to have joined a company like Narrow Aisle.”
John Maguire, Narrow Aisle’s sales and marketing director, commented: “The production manager’s role is a key one within Narrow Aisle and we are very pleased to have appointed someone with Mark’s track record and calibre. This company has been at the forefront of articulated and very narrow aisle truck design and production for the best part of three decades. During this time, Narrow Aisle has always been engineering led and we believe that this has been fundamental to our success.
“The Flexi forklift is now the biggest selling articulated model in Europe and going forward, we have set ourselves ambitious growth plans. Mark will play a major role in helping us achieve our goals.” More articles from Narrow Aisle Limited: |
