Award winning low-cost RFID distribution solution

Microlise’s RFID Trailer Portal is gaining industry recognition as a low cost, mobile logistics RFID solution since landing the 2005 RFID Breakthrough Award for Top Product of the Year.

The asset tracking solution is a standalone product that can be integrated with either the Microlise Fleet & Distribution product suite or similar solutions from other suppliers. It cuts the cost of entry into RFID tracking by enabling the vehicle rather than the DC’s dock doors, meaning proof of delivery or collection can be provided at any destination.

Microlise Business Development director, Bob Harbey says the solution will encourage more companies to become RFID-involved by making it easier and cheaper for them: “High capital costs of equipment, low utilisation and open loop stock movement between organisations is a real barrier to entry,” says Harbey. “The Microlise RFID Trailer Portal addresses these problems and allows companies to collect and utilise RFID data wherever they need it within their distribution operation, in a much more cost effective way.”
