Doosan welcomes Aberdeen firm July 24th 2006 Aberdeen-based A&S Forklift Services Ltd has become the latest addition to the Doosan Daewoo forklift dealer network.
The 12-year-old company, directed by Stuart Allan and Mike Stewart, will oversee the north east coast of Scotland territory and takes the total number of Doosan Daewoo dealers in the UK to 25.
A&S Forklift Services already serves major local companies including Conserve Oilfield Services, Craig Group Catering and Marine and Premier Oilfield Rentals, from its Greenbank Business Centre premises.
Welcoming the company to the network, UK general sales manager Darren White, said: “We’ve been impressed with A&S Forklifts for some time in what is an important part of the country for us, and have received good reports from customers that have been with the company for a long time. Doosan is growing rapidly as a force in the UK, and we’re delighted to welcome A&S to the group.”
The Doosan Daewoo brand was launched in 2005 following the purchase of a 51 percent controlling share in Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery by Korean construction giant, Doosan. Since then the company has experienced record growth in the UK and continues to build on its reputation for simple, powerful products designed for the UK and European markets.
