Linde launches energy efficent electric forklift range
July 12th 2006

Linde has launched a new electric counterbalance range which offers reduction in energy consumption by up to 20%. With 15 basic models, the company says it covers the full spectrum of capacities and specifications to suit every type of business, whether large medium or small.

Able to operate for up to 3000 hours between routine service shedules, the company says this means optimum use rations, reduced operting costs and lower consumption of consumable parts - generating significant cost savings and environmental benefits.

The new series replaces the existing compact range and is available in both 24 and 48volt versions with capacities from 1.2 to 2.0 tonnes and, depending on the model selected, offers a choice of either three or four-wheeled configurations.

“For the first time in the 2.0 tonne capacity counterbalance range there is an electric truck which offers performance parameters matching those of an engine powered truck, and therefore opens up new possibilities for customers who have particular environmental issues in some applications where previously it might have been necessary to compromise,” says Linde UK sales and marketing director, Steve Moule.

“The energy system incorporated in to the new range sets it apart from its peers by delivering ultra high performance without the penalty of high energy consumption.”
