Innovative racking column guard

Just Barriers has designed another innovative racking protection product to reduce the dangers of racking damage and make sure that the warehouse complies with the newest Heath and Safety Regulations and industry guidelines.

The aptly named “flying buttress” is a rounded front column guard which fits around pallet racking uprights with six floor fixings on the inside. The design deflects any misaligned pallets and the slim design permits the full use of the bay clear entry.

Designed to work in conjunction with the innovative Rackdefender, the flying buttress provides the highest possible level of protection to the upright and is a sensible upgrade from traditional wide faced column guards when replacement is required.

This guard design provides a rounded front face together with six bolt floor fixings on the inside of the guard. Not only does it deflect any impact better than most traditional column guards, but the combination of steel and the Rackdefender protects the valuable upright better than ever before.

With the six fixings on the inside, the working space between the uprights is kept to a maximum and this eliminates floor stud pallet damage. This in turn leads to higher levels of cleanliness – crucial in modern warehouses.

The flying buttress is already in use in fast moving distribution environments and is an excellent upgrade to existing column guards especially where the floor area is affected with old studs and damaged concrete.

The flying buttress fixes in different position to traditional wide faced guards and the condition of the floor immediately around the upright now becomes irrelevant.
