New empty container handlers

Hyster has announced its latest range of high-stacking Empty Container Handlers, the H16.00-22.00XM-12 EC series. The series consists of four models and, while building on the market reputation achieved by its predecessor, the H16.00-18.00XM-12EC, offers additional value.

The new series features the Hyster “Vista” cab, which offers a wide range of standard features designed to achieve maximum productivity. The operator compartment is situated in a high position at the rear of the truck, to maximise visibility during stacking operations. There is a choice of four “container engagement” systems for handling single containers and double containers. Suspended Hooks, Hooks and Side Clamps and Single or Double Vertical Twistlock systems are available.

Available as an option, the “Powered Pile Slope” (PPS) feature provides hydraulically operated sideways articulation of the spreader of +/- 6 degrees (in addition to the standard mechanical articulation of +/- 4 degrees) to further facilitate easy positioning and engagement of the spreader on the containers.

For added stability in 7-high (18.8 m) stacking operations, the H18.00-22.00XM-12EC models feature a longer wheelbase at 4.5 m, over the standard 4.0m.
