Record accidents online
June 20th 2006

It is a legal requirement for all companies with 10 or more employees to record all minor accidents/incidents as well as reporting more serious events via RIDDOR. The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR) requires that all work-related accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences are reported, this applies to all work activities, but not to all incidents.

Accident Reporter is the new online incident reporting system from Safety Media, which enables the user to record every type of incident including any near misses, minor injuries, lost-time accidents as well as RIDDOR reportable events.

Accident Reporter allows the user to create in-depth accident and incident records instantly within the electronic data store. The system also allows the user to upload relevant associated information such as witness statements and photographs etc. The system keeps a full history and complete audit trail of any changes to accident records and enables the user to carry out quick and easy searches. It also aids in the analysis of the data to identify any trends and will help target any areas where the health and safety performance may need to be improved.

As a web based system, the user will not need to install any software and can access their records at any time through the Internet. Accident Reporter is ideal for small and medium sized organisations with less than 400 employees. A Corporate Edition of the system is available for larger companies.
