Hand-held PC for warehouse sector
March 11th 2006 Suited to warehousing and logistics sector applications DLoG UK has announced the launch of the XMDA hand-held PC. Equipped with a 7 inch TFT touch-screen display and measuring just 256 x 131 x 40 mm, the XMDA exceeds IP65 protection standards and is certified to withstand a 1.2m drop test. It is also equipped with tough, shock absorbing end caps for extra durability.
The XMDA utilises a flexible, multi-functional hardware concept, which is expandable to include add-on features such as WLAN, GPS, GSM, Pick by Voice, RFID, Bluetooth, imagers, cameras and the like. In addition, it incorporates integrated ports for headsets, speakers and scanners. It is also equipped with a cutting-edge Intel PXA 270 520 MHz CPU and is loaded with Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 operating system, ready for immediate use.
Supplied with a powerful lithium polymer battery and incorporating a sophisticated power and battery management system, the DLoG XMDA has a battery life of up to eight hours in mobile use – for example, in any type of vehicle or as a handheld scanner in the warehouse.
