Doosan offers best of both worlds
May 25th 2006

Korean forklift manufacturer, Doosan-Daewoo is offering a special low price on its new range of Diesel mid-range models.

As well as the usual combination of simple design, high powered Cummins diesel engine and longer lasting oil cooled disk brakes, the re-styled D25S, D30S and D33S trucks feature a host of ergonomic and performance improvements which, the company says, is their best yet.

“The latest designs include mid-point tilt mechanism for accurate fork levelling, new high visibility overhead guards and a re-designed front cockpit unit with new instrumentation panel and direction levers,” says general manager, Kun H Lee. “We’re very pleased with the range, in fact it is our most popular ever in the UK, a high spec range of hard working forklifts that offers great value for money.”

Doosan-Daewoo has been growing in strength in the UK over the past few years, experiencing year-on-year record growth thanks to a combination of proven technology and simple designs.

The Year 2006 IC models also feature similar improvements found on the new Doosan-Daewoo electric range, including reduced vibration and increased adjustability of the steering column, improved parking braking and advanced accelerator pedals. However, the company is at pains to point out that it has stuck closely to its ‘reliable improvements’ philosophy.

“The main point is to keep the image of reliability in the brand,” says Kun H Lee. “We are now improving more on safety, comfortable driving, environmental features and energy saving. We are avoiding technically complex features except for realizing those value added features.”

Future truck design will focus on further reducing the total cost of ownership, already a Doosan-Daewoo strongpoint, with new models benefiting from advanced 3D design techniques and globally sourced components.

“We have a straightforward approach,” says Kun H Lee. “We will introduce new features and components if it is proven to reduce the user’s costs and improve reliability. It’s the best of both worlds.”

For a limited period only the D25S will be available from just £11,995, complete with oil cooled disk brakes, integral sideshift, three year warranty and any standard duplex or triplex mast. Or, if you prefer contract hire, get a great deal on a five year, full maintenance deal. For further information contact use the enquiry system.
