 LBMH has shown great commitment to growing the Doosan Daewoo brand LB is Doosan Daewoo’s forklift dealer of the year September 20th 2006 Wigan-based LB Materials Handling, has been named as Doosan Daewoo’s top dealer of the year, at a presentation in Northampton. The award, presented by Doosan Infracore UK general manager, Kun H Lee, cited LBMH’s outstanding sales performance in 2005 and their commitment to growing the Doosan Daewoo brand.
“LBMH have made enormous strides this year, and we felt it was only fitting that their efforts were recognised,” said Kun H Lee. “LBMH was our top selling dealer in our best ever year, so their success has been a crucial factor in Doosan Daewoo’s continued growth in the UK. They have also introduced our brand to some of the UK’s leading firms, which has further strengthened our UK profile.”
LBMH first moved to Wigan in 2000 and has grown steadily on the back of a reputation for engineering excellence. The original staff of 10 has increased to 35 and the turnover of the business has rocketed from Ł1m to more than Ł4m.
LBMH managing director, Neil Farrimond, believes the company’s ethos of tailoring its services to suit all kinds of businesses means it’s been successful with companies large and small.
Said Neil: “We’ve been successful with some of the most prestigious UK businesses and that gives us a tremendous amount of confidence and satisfaction. This award is a culmination of the hard work put into the business by all our staff and it is a credit to them that we are delighted to receive.”
LBMH has over 300 active customers including Asda, Morrisons and Doosan Daewoo’s single biggest customer in Europe, Eddie Stobart. The company also has a number of specialist engineers and facilities to support repairs and service of major companies if their own workshops are too busy.

The Doosan Daewoo brand was launched in 2005 following the purchase of a 51% controlling share in Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery by Korean construction giant, Doosan. Since then the company has experienced record growth in the UK and continues to build on its reputation for simple, powerful products designed for the UK and European markets.
Over 80 Doosan Daewoo models are available in the UK from 1.5 to 3.0 tonnes, electric models and 1.5 to 15.0 tonnes for IC models.
