Narrow Aisle marks 30th anniversary
September 20th 2006

Narrow Aisle has celebrated its 30th anniversary by undertaking a major overhaul of its UK production facility and launching the latest generation of its Flexi trucks – the G4.

Demand for Narrow Aisle’s articulated trucks is running at an all time high with both UK sales and exports reaching unprecedented levels in recent months. The changes to the production facility will ensure the company can continue to offer the shortest lead times for its products as its order book fills.

“This company has been at the forefront of articulated and very narrow aisle truck design and production for three decades. During this time, Narrow Aisle has always been engineering led and we believe that this has been fundamental to our success. By upgrading our UK facility we are gearing up for the next stage in our development,” said sales and marketing director, John Maguire.

The new G4’s design includes many of features that have helped to establish the Flexi as Europe’s best selling articulated forklift truck, but also includes a number of significant advances including an all new operator’s cab that offers unrivalled levels of operator comfort.

Trucks for the European market are designed and built at the Great Bridge plant and distributed world-wide through a fully supported distributor network, but to ensure that the growing demand from the rapidly expanding sales territories of the US and Asia continues to be met, an outsourced manufacturing agreement was established some four years ago with a partner company to build Narrow Aisle products for these markets in Taiwan.
