September 20th 2006 For a long time the difference in price between a mill-size vertical baler and a labour efficient semi-automatic horizontal baler has been too great. Coupled with the amount of floor space required, horizontal balers have remained a pipe-dream for many companies who opted instead to install two vertical balers side by side. Realising this, Compact and Bale has designed and launched the new labour-saving CB-44T Semi automatic horizontal baler.
The CB-44T is a powerful and fast baler with a pressing force of 44 tonnes and a processing speed up to 2 tonnes per hour. This makes it 4x faster than a vertical mill size baler!
• Produces mill size bales measuring 1000mmx760mmx1200mm (an ideal bale size to maximise payloads of trailers and shipping containers).
• Average bale weight on cardboard is 400kg.
• Machine can be used to bale polythene films and other plastic materials.
• Optional card/polythene programme can be fitted to allow for instant switching between material to be baled.
All this performance is delivered with minimal impact on floor space: the CB44T measures just 5163mm(l)x1850mm(w).
The horizontal design provides increased flexibility in loading options which can be by hand, automatic bin-tipper, chute, conveyor, dock-fed, forklift dumpers or special application.
