Sammons Enterprises purchases Finning's materials handling division
September 20th 2006

Sammons Enterprises, Inc. has purchased the materials handling division of Finning (UK), the official dealer of Cat Lift trucks warehouse and counterbalance equipment in the UK.

Finning’s Materials Handling Division has been a dealer of Cat Lift Trucks for many years and is an acknowledged market leader in the UK. It is reported that the purchase by Sammons and the establishment of Briggs Equipment UK will further strengthen the organisation and increase the focus on the materials handling business.

Graham Lovatt, director of marketing at Cat Lift Trucks said: "We have been heavily involved in the discussions and we welcome this move to strengthen our position in the UK."
