Doosan Extends Electric Range

Doosan’s brand new Pro-5 Series has been extended to include a 5.0 tonnes electric 4 wheeler, the 80 volt B50X, complete with three year warranty and the award winning Operator Sensing System

The new truck has been added to the impressive AC electric range, which is now available in over a dozen capacities between 1.3 tonnes and 5.0 tonnes, and includes integral sideshift, oil cooled disc brakes and a brand new operator’s cockpit unit.

The Korean firm claimed this year’s FLTA Award for Safety Excellence with its innovative Operator Sensing System, which covers a host of features, from Mast Lock – preventing mast operation without an operator being seated, to parking warnings and ‘return to neutral’ functions – all to prevent mis-operation.

The system also acts automatically to restrict travel speeds and acceleration when the truck is turning, and to reduce lift speeds when travelling. Should the accelerator be released when the truck is on a gradient, an anti-rollback device also ensures that the truck holds its position before reversing slowly. Further safety features include warning buzzers for the parking brake and seat belt.

Doosan sales have been boosted this month to a record high thanks to an extended product line, re-designed trucks, impressive deals and a growing UK reputation.
