Double awards nomination for Norco
December 20th 2007 Norco Group, the Aberdeen based battery specialists and developers of the award winning asset tracking system Norco RMS, have been nominated as finalists in two separate categories of the Fork Lift Truck Association Annual Awards for Excellence.
They have been selected as finalists in the Innovation category for Norco RMS and Extranet, and in the Supplier of the Year category through nominations submitted by customers. The Fork Lift Truck Association Annual Awards for Excellence are renowned throughout the materials handling industry as the most important awards for manufacturers and suppliers.
David Ellison, Chief Executive of the FLTA, explains: ‘Our Annual Awards for Excellence remain the single most definitive and prestigious seal of approval this industry has to offer. Everybody knows what the ‘Archies’ stand for - they highlight and reward the very best that materials handling has to offer, and are a clear symbol of constant improvement – so it is no wonder that leading companies are eager to associate their brands with those important values.’
Norco Marketing Manager, Amy Davidson said ‘This is our fourth award nomination this year. Winning the Northern Star Business Award for ‘Best use of ICT’ was a huge accolade as was our selection as regional finalists for the British Chamber of Commerce ‘Impact of Technology’ award. However our selection as finalists for two ‘Archie’ awards means a great deal to the company. To receive the award for Innovation or Supplier of the Year would be a fantastic achievement for Norco.’
