Small is beautiful February 15th 2007 Pending an extension to its warehouse facilities, packaging manufacturer Kessler International called in Mar-key Industrial Marquees for a temporary solution to increased storage capacity at the end of last year.
A site visit followed and a Hocker 9m x 21m temporary warehouse structure was chosen to be placed in an area parallel and adjacent to the existing warehouse space. This was subsequently enhanced using a 6m x 12m temporary warehouse structure to form a canopy which provided access to the adjoining 9m x 21m, the external loading area and the warehouse entrance and exit.
To protect stock and Kessler employees from the winter elements, the 6m x 12m canopy was gutter linked to the main warehouse entrance providing an excellent and cost effective weather proof shelter. To combat excessive heat loss during peak loading periods the canopy was fitted with draught excluders.
To prevent the work from being disruptive to Kessler International's daily routine, the 9m x 21m was built over a weekend period and took a four man crew under a day to construct. The canopy was built in less than a day over the following weekend. Sean Gilby the operations manager at Kessler International said "Markey Marquees (Industrial) continually proved to be both flexible and professional in providing the ideal solution to Kessler International's immediate needs and as such, we can not thank them enough."
