Roller door for demanding environments
January 16th 2007

New from sara is the Sprint 600 which has been developed to cope with the most demanding environments and intensive traffic while maintain high safety standards. Of modular construction, the high speed roller door can be easily tailored to meet the requirements of individual clients.

Sprint 600 has an opening speed of up to 3.0 m/s and is powered by sara's new intelligent MCC Vector Control. This system combines high performance quieter operation and reduced energy costs. All component parts of the door, from the materials to the control system and safety devices, are designed to cope with high stresses for long periods.

With a taut and modern design the door fits well in environments where aesthetics are important. The side frames are manufactured in anodised aluminium and there is a choice of door curtains and colours. Sprint 600 is especially suitable for openings with heavy traffic and heavy wind loads, inside and out. It has a wind resistance in accordance with EN 12424, class 3, which corresponds to wind speeds of up to hurricane force.

An integrated counterbalancing and tension system ensures safe opening and closing maintaining door curtain tension at all times for smooth operation in even the windiest locations. The curtain can be manufactured from transparent PVC to optimise the view of oncoming traffic or from Rolltex, a very rigid but light polyester fabric. In addition, the door can be supplied with sara's “non-contact” safety beam; a travelling safety beam which travels ahead of the door bottom rail ensuring no damage by contact.
