Doosan introduces lowest priced models May 17th 2007 Four new 24 volt AC powered battery trucks are the latest additions to the Doosan Pro-5 range.
The 1.0 tonnes, 1.3 tonnes, 1.5 tonnes and 1.6 tonnes model family will feature all the company’s latest Pro-5 additions, including longer-lasting oil cooled disk brakes, Active Control Technology and the award-winning Operator Sensing System, whilst being the lowest priced Doosan models ever.
Adding the smaller sized, yet high performing, 24 volt models gives the Korean firm the opportunity to expand into smaller manufacturing and distribution applications where truck usage is essential but light.
Announcing the availability of the new models, UK General Manager, Tim Waples said: “We are responding to the changes in the market where smaller battery models have become more prevalent. Theses new models offer superb value and high productivity, and are an excellent addition to our model range.”
At the other end of its expanding electric counterbalance range Doosan is simultaneously introducing the B40X B45X and B50X (4, 4.5 and 5.0 tonne electrics at 80V), combining to make a substantial electric truck offering.
Recent trends in electric forklifts have provided major technological improvements in control systems and comfort, and Doosan has made the most of those improvements by developing Active Control Technology (ACT). Using ACT, the new Pro 5 Series includes a new integrated control system to improve operator comfort and ease of control, whilst adding safety features and efficient energy consumption.
Truck performance and durability can be matched to suit different applications with three individual performance settings. On less intensive applications, a lower setting can be used to prolong battery life and reduce running costs. The B10R, B13R, B15R and B16R, go on sale this month via the 24-strong Doosan dealer network.
