Doosan enjoys successful sales October 30th 2007 Doosan says September was the most successful month ever for its forklift sales in the UK, with 2007 sales set to break records for the Korean manufacturer.
A number of major fleet deals, the continued success of the 25-strong dealer network and national accounts partners, as well as the growing reputation of the latest Pro-5 series all contributed to Doosan reaching over 200 sales in a month.
In the past five years the company has seen its sales numbers double. A number of key deals have been agreed, including those with Eddie Stobart, DSL and BA World Cargo.
"All our national accounts partners have done well this year, and the reputation of our dealer network continues to grow. It all starts with making a good product, advertising it well and getting out there to find out what companies want," says Darren White, UK general sales manager at Doosan.
"Doosan has a policy of developing local managers and it is one that we think has paid off in the UK. We believe we have a strong management team and combined with an excellent dealer network and strong product, it is a powerful proposition."
As well as a new general manager, Tim Waples, at the head of the business, Doosan also recruited Ian Blackledge as business development manager, while Paul Watson has continued as dealer manager.
Doosan offers a 99-strong range of electric, gas and diesel models from 1.0 tonnes to 16.0 tonnes capacity.
