Safety light curtains on show
September 25th 2007 Leuze Mayser will be exhibiting two of its safety light curtains for the first time at a UK exhibition, seen at Health+Safety 07 in Bolton on 10th and 11th October.
On Stand 50 the IP68 rated version of Compactplus will be available to view, as well as the Solid-4 with its torsionally stiff housing plus high immunity from emc disturbance.
Compactplus meets the requirements of SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508 and is available with a range of functionalities that include blanking, muting and cycle control. The Solid-4 safety light curtain has been engineered for tough arduous environments. Four standard resolutions are available – 14, 20, 30, 40, 90mm – making it suitable for many diverse applications. With two selectable light-beam channels, the curtain eliminates potential optical cross-talking of neighbouring devices, ensuring reliable safety protection.
