Loadhog launches the Pally – a pallet and dolly in one April 15th 2008 New from Loadhog, the Pally seamlessly integrates the features of both a pallet and a dolly in one ingenious patented design. In pallet form, the Pally provides a stable and immovable 800mm x 600mm base, which with a single pedal push at either end is transformed into a moveable unit for loads up to 500kg or vice versa.
Whilst as a pallet the Pally is compatible with production lines, storage racking, transport and mechanical handling equipment, with one touch at any point in the supply chain it can become a fully mobile dolly without the need for any additional equipment.
The unique features of the Pally also create valuable space in busy operating environments and deliver significant time and cost savings by reducing supply chain handling.
The Pally is stackable when empty, will nest with plastic trays and can be used in conjunction with the Loadhog Lid system – the award-winning 'green' method of securing a load to the Pally. The Loadhog Lids' two integrated and retractable straps replace stretch wrapping and banding to bring further savings in labour and single-use packaging costs.
Rotherham-based PMS Diecasting has already recognised the numerous benefits of the Pally internally and successfully rolled out the system to a major supplier.
Allan Follows, PMS general manager, said: "The Pally is proving extremely useful within our operation. I am beginning to wonder how we managed without it! Wooden pallets, pump trucks and stretch wrap all seem rather crude now."
