Powercell powers Doosan’s new 24 V electric forklifts

Continuing an established relationship, Powercell Industrial Battery Engineers is the exclusive supplier of batteries and chargers for Doosan’s new 24 V AC powered battery counterbalance forklift truck range. With the launch of this new 1 to 1.6t family, which is the latest addition to its Pro-5 range, Doosan is responding to changes in the market where smaller battery models have become more prevalent.

Commenting on Doosan’s selection of Powercell as supplier of battery packages for the new range, Darren White, UK General Sales Manager at Doosan, says: “It’s interesting to see how many people are choosing the Powercell brand, which is a respected name in the battery sector. Reliability is an important part of this and we do not hear of any problems with Powercell, so Doosan and Powercell clearly complement each other. The 24 V market is a new sector for Doosan so these were important considerations in our decision to make Powercell a preferred partner.”

Powercell’s battery management and customer support play an important role in ensuring the truck’s reliability and optimum performance throughout the truck’s life. Furthermore, given that the battery constitutes approximately a third of the price of a forklift truck, Powercell’s ability to stick to its price plays an important role in the overall price competitiveness of a forklift truck.
