Bookpoint grows business with the help of Savoye June 24th 2008 Savoye has successfully completed the installation of a standalone order preparation system for Bookpoint at its Abingdon facility. Incorporating Savoye’s Pac600® packaging technology and conveyors, Savoye has provided a flexible solution worth in excess of 500,000 Euros to enable Bookpoint to service a recently acquired contract without impacting its existing client base. Working to a challenging time line, Savoye was able to complete the installation on time, ready for a 2008 go live.
The Pac600® packaging technology offers Bookpoint a complete solution in automated carton erection, product security and sealing, whilst allowing orders to be picked directly into the despatch carton. Combined with Savoye conveyors, zone picking and automated label applicators, this offers Bookpoint the greatest amount of flexibility now and in the future, whilst benefiting from automation.
Paul Gibbon, project manager commented, “Working closely with Bookpoint, Savoye quickly gained a clear understanding of the business and project requirements. The outcome is an effective solution, professionally designed and installed, that meets current volumes and allows for expected future growth.”
