New forklift clamp from B&B

B&B Attachments, the forklift truck attachments and masts supplier, has launched Layer Master, a new clamp designed to eliminate manual handling and help prevent damage to palleted loads that require splitting. To enable the load to be quickly broken down or built up, the Layer Master can lift a third of a 2400mm high pallet or just a single layer of boxes, clamping single or multiple layers.

The clamp makes contact with the load on all four sides, using minimal force to lift and also reducing possible damage to the product. A valve with three different pressure ranges can be supplied and fitted for multiple layer weights or varying products handling.

The Layer Master forklift truck mounted system is available in three different mounting types, while the static mounted Layer Master only requires hand or pallet truck training rather than a full forklift licence. The system is in use within the fresh produce sector and is also being trialled by supermarket distribution centres.
