Latest Toshiba Tec portable label printers October 29th 2008 Toshiba Tec says its latest portable label printers, the B-EP2 and B-EP4, deliver versatility to warehousing and logistics environments. Robustly designed (both pass 1.5m drop tests to concrete), they can used for shipping labels, invoices delivery notes and parcel tracking – and the firm says they integrate into legacy systems.
With USB and infra-red interfaces as standard and link quickly and seamlessly with other hand held devices.
With built in Bluetooth connectivity or secure wireless network (WLAN), communications are also available with specific models making the printers suitable for portable POS and remote transaction processing applications. And with added benefit of coreless media, Toshiba Tec claims the B-EP2 and B-EP4 are better for the environment. The range is powered by Lithium-Ion technology for an extended number of printable labels and increased performance.
Windows compatible, the new models allow users and administrators to change the settings and configurations directly on the device.
The B-EP2 label printer has a single roll capacity of 400 labels of 50mm length while the B-EP4 model achieves a single roll output of 530 labels of 50mm. Both models support a continuous strip issue whereby every printed label smoothly generates the automatic issuing of the next label, increasing the overall throughput.
