Is your town an accident hotspot?
September 18th 2009

During Safety Week, the FLTA will exclusively reveal Britain’s deadliest place for fork lift accidents – so be sure to log onto www.fork-truck.org.uk/safetyweek and see how your local area fares.

There’s also important news who gets involved in accidents. You are especially at risk of being injured or killed in a fork lift truck accident if you fit the following profile:

* In the North of England

* Male

* Over 45

* A lorry driver

If you fit into these categories – or are close to somebody who does – it is imperative that you find out about the simple precautions that could lower your risk. However, many others around the country are at risk too.

Remember it is not just the victims of fork lift truck accidents who are affected, but their families and friends as well. With at least one serious accident occurring every single day, everybody should be aware of the potential dangers of fork lift trucks – no matter their location, background or job.
