A-Safe's new barrier essential at DHL May 22nd 2009 A-Safe has added a new style double-rail protection Rack End Barrier to its rack protection portfolio: a round, bollard-style end that protects and deflects any warehouse vehicles, preventing damage to stock, racking systems and the vehicle itself.
The barriers have already proved successful with a number of customers.
DHL has installed the new double rail protector Rack End Barriers throughout its 118,000 sq ft warehouse in Banbury, which has over 144 employees on site. The racking storage in the warehouse is a ‘narrow aisle’ 10.8m in height storing medical and health products.
Stephen Fletcher, Facilities Department Team Leader at DHL says: “Losing a set of racking would cause much disruption to our business and be expensive to replace (in both time and space), so protecting all our racking is essential.
“We have worked closely with A-Safe to develop the model to best suit our needs. The cost effectiveness of the system also works well, as any initial outlay is spread out over the long-term with no replacements or repairs required.
