Warehouse facilities boosted
April 22nd 2010

RH Amar & Co is boosting the capacity of its High Wycombe warehouse facilities by 65% to 81,400 sq ft. The new warehouse is situated adjacent to their existing facility and is scheduled to be operational by the summer.

The expansion will accommodate the increasing number of brands and products the company distributes on behalf of fine food companies supplying the multiple and independent retailers and the wholesale, cash & carry and foodservice sectors.

RH Amar operations director Tim Brady said: “This is a great move forward for RH Amar and is a direct result of our recent successes. We maintain very high standards for our suppliers and the additional space will mean we can continue to achieve our mutual growth targets.

“We have recently had our BRC Global Standard – Storage & Distribution accreditation renewed for the eighth year, which is testimony to our ability to consistently deliver services to the best industry standards.”

Vice chairman Rob Amar added: “We have been very careful to look at our present warehouse needs as well as considering how we see our business developing in the future and the likely warehouse capacity and logistical demands required to facilitate this growth. I am sure that we have achieved the right solution that will enable us to maintain our very high standards of service.”
