Atherstone fire update May 27th 2010 Detectives are continuing to question a 47 year old man who was arrested yesterday in connection with a fatal fire at Atherstone on Stour.
The man, who is from the north of the county, was released on police bail last night to return to a police station in Warwickshire this morning, Thursday May 27.
A 53 year old man from the south of the county was released on police bail last night pending further inquiries and will return to a police station in Warwickshire at a later date.
Both men were arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and were also questioned in relation to breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Ten men arrested earlier in the year in connection with the incident. Eight were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and two on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
Four firefighters died tackling the blaze at the warehouse, which had been converted into a packing plant.
