Nissan Forklift renews UK focus
January 14th 2011

Nissan Forklift will open a new business unit in the UK - Nissan Forklift GB (NFGB). The restructure follows the decision, last year, of Nissan’s previous UK distributor Impact Handling to sign an exclusive distributorship deal with Cat Lift Trucks.

The decision comes in line with the recent global restructuring announcements from Nissan.

NFGB will be located at the Nissan Parts Distribution Centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire and operate in the market as a fully Nissan Forklift brand focused organisation.

It will work solely through its nationwide dealer network and in close harmony with Nissan Forklift Europe in the Netherlands and be targeted with achieving a significant strengthening in its market position in the coming years.

Nissan Forklift Europe and Nissan Motor GB share a common understanding that customer support and satisfaction for all current and future Nissan forklift users are key elements in the Nissan forklift business, and will ensure that the new business unit seamlessly continues to provide customer services and support to its dealer network during and after the transition.

NFGB and NMGB's ability to work in the wider business market and offer seamless solutions across Forklift trucks, light commercial vehicles and passenger cars is maintained.

Nissan aims to have its new structure in place ready to commence operations by the 1 April 2011.
