MATTING HELPS TO REDUCE ACCIDENTS October 1st 2005
Thirty million pounds a year is the cost to the UK manufacturing industry of lost production caused by slips and trips. In the food and drink industry alone, such accidents cost upwards of £20 million every year.
To help reduce these figures, Fibreglass Grating has introduced a new range of safety matting for industry. Products can be tailored to suit individual requirements and applied to any size of area.
The company says the properties of the matting conform to the highest slip resistance tests. Matting is impervious to most acids, oils and chemicals and its hardwearing surface can withstand temperatures to 160°C and spills of molten glass.
It is also said to alleviate fatigue and discomfort in the lower legs and feet that can lead to circulation problems and varicose veins. A highvis safety edge can be fitted. More articles from Dura Composites Ltd: |
