Four hour rating for new fire wall December 1st 2005
Eurobond is now able to offer improved fire resistance performance for its non-combustible composite wall panels that are widely used in food processing, storage and distribution.
The company has been working closely with the Loss Prevention Certification Board and envisages that tests results will provide peace of mind for building owners, insurers and designers and will mitigate their concerns over the stringent regulations soon to be imposed by changes in the Fire Regulations.
Tests were carried out at the Warrington Fire Research Centre using 150mm thick Rockspan panels. Under BS 476 Pt 22 Fire Resistance Wall Test, the panels achieved 4h integral resistance to the passage of fire or smoke.
To make the test more severe, panels spanned 9m with no intermediate supports as may be required on an actual site, subject to wind loadings. More articles from Eurobond Laminates Ltd: |
