Positively going green April 1st 2008
Hörmann UK
has taken a
major step to
increase its
sustainability
credentials and
help minimise
the effect of its
products on the
environment.
The German
owned
company has
appointed carbon and
sustainability consultancy,
dcarbon8, to assess its
carbon footprint and identify
measures that can be taken
to reduce the impact of its
office operations and
product manufacturing
processes. The goal is for a
business or product to
achieve Plant Positive status,
which means the business
has the right procedures in
place to contribute to a
reduction in global
warming.
Alan Jenkins, commercial
director of Hörmann's
industrial division, believes
the approach will help the
company steal an edge in
the industrial door market. More articles from Hormann UK Ltd: |
