Another door opens for Hörmann

3PL provider, ProLogis, recently commissioned Hörmann to supply the loading bay materials for a large distribution centre in Coventry.

In all Hörmann supplied and installed materials for 28 bays, including dock levellers, shelters, loading bay doors, and extras such as LED traffic lights, internal dock lights, composite control panels, dock buffers with steel face plates. It also supplied two level access doors, fourteen steel fire exit doors and two fire shutters.

As efficiency and reliability are also key inside the building, Hörmann has recently launched its new TK150 high speed insulated door – specifically developed for cold stores and deepfreeze storage areas with operating temperatures up to -36° C.

The high-performance vertical operator Hörmann opens/closes the door at speeds of up to 2.5 m/s and 0.5 m/s respectively. An intelligent frequency converter control system ensures gentle acceleration and soft braking, thereby subjecting the door and operator to minimum wear.

Heated dual chambers located at the sides and top prevent the door from freezing up.
