Compact, wireless printer April 1st 2004 Toshiba TEC has introduced a new communication variant to its 2in portable thermal printer, the B-SP2D. It uses 802.11b WIFI and IRDA interfaces, making it a true wireless printer.
The portable, compact design makes it suitable for producing high quality barcode labels and receipts as and where they are needed.
Although based on its predecessor the B-211, the B-SP2D can communicate with pocket PCs WLANs or other mobile and static devices six times faster, either via is serial, infrared, 802.11b or bluetooth interfaces. Labels and receipts to 0.5m in length can be issued in batch or peel-off modes.
