Easy-to-handle barcode reader October 1st 2007 An easy-to-handle wireless
scanner for mobile
workforces has been
introduced by Baracoda.
D-Fly is a compact
and low weight (52g)
barcode reader that can be
used in the field and adapts
easily to narrow spaces. It
can be recharged on a car
cigarette lighter and
includes an integrated stylus
for use with tactile screens.
The device connects
easily to any mobile device
(PDA, mobile phone, laptop,
and so on) due to its
BaracodaManager
connectivity, which the
company offers for free.
It is compatible with a
range of platforms: Windows,
Windows Mobile and
CE.Net, Palm, Symbian, RIM
(BlackBerry).
Once connected to a
terminal, scanned barcodes
are transmitted to D-Fly in
real time via Bluetooth. When
working out of radio range,
data is stored in the D-Fly's
internal memory for
downloading when back in
range. |
