A barcode labelling solution from Paxar UK is helping hi-fi speaker maker, Monitor Audio achieve unprecedented levels of quality assurance and customer satisfaction by tracking and tracing goods despatched to dealers throughout the world. Paxars Systems Integration Group worked with Monitor Audio and devised a tailored and integrated solution that included special software. A key aim was to ensure that distributors always receive matched pairs of speakers. The Paxar solution enables Monitor Audio to identify, by unique serial number and dealer code, which re-seller has received which pair of speakers. Every speaker has a Paxar Tuff Mark label with the same barcode data that ultimately links to the companys warranty records. Labels are produced on Paxars high volume, high speed 9800 thermal tabletop printer. A single 102 by 74mm label replaces two previously needed.
